This website was created to be the official home of the Save Robert! campaign. The goal is to have the Food Network keep Robert Irvine as the host of Dinner:Impossible, even though he might have made some mistakes in his past.
Robert Irvine is an amazing host, with advanced kitchen skills and the ability to think outside the box. As it has been shown on episodes of Dinner:Impossible other chefs are not able to do what Robert does successfully or with as much style.
What can you do to help?
The first thing to do is to contact the Food Network ( through their
comments page ) and tell them that you love Robert and that you want to keep
him on the air. Next sign the
online petition to
Save Robert! that will be sent to the Food Network. Finally tell your friends
and neighbors about this site and the online petition, and have them sign it as
well. Feel free to post comments to online articles expressing your support for
Robert and include a link to this page.
On February 17, 2008 the St. Petersburg Times reported that Robert Irvine may have mis-informed people about his past, including some of the people or projects that he worked for. This included working on the wedding cake of Princess Diana (which he did, in a limited way), and that he was a chef at the White House (which he was, in the Navy Mess). Other allegations were made that he lied about his knighthood and that he owned a castle in Scotland.
On February 20, 2008, the Food Network responded by pulling his bio page on the Food Network website saying that they would look into the matter, and changing the opening of his show, Dinner:Impossible, to remove the references to his past.
On March 4, 2008, the Food Network fired Robert Irvine as the
host of Dinner:Impossible but agreed to finish his contract and film the last
shows of this season. The Food Network said that they would replace Robert
Irvine as host for the next season.
